Due to expansion my client based in Cambridgeshire are currently in need of a Quality inspector with CMM experience to join their established work force.
Role Description:
Maintain quality standards by approving materials, in-process production, and finished products and recording quality results. Maintain and assist implementation of the company's quality system and standards. Take responsibility for the quality monitoring of all manufactured components.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
• Perform visual inspections of materials and components prior to manufacture, liaising with Stores and manufacturing as required.
• Take responsibility for quality control of all manufactured components.
• Perform dimensional inspections of in-process and finished manufactured components using CMM and manual equipment in a timely manner so as not to delay production.
• Take responsibility for acceptance or rejection of materials, in-process and finished items according to defined requirements.
• Read and understand technical documents/drawings and specifications, including dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Assist in developing product Quality Plans to define required inspection needs.
• Manage reject documentation/processes in accordance with company procedures.
• Complete concessions and undertake defective product investigations.
• Keep measurement equipment operating accurately by following operating instructions, calling for repairs/calibration as required.
• Implement corrective actions and process improvements to quality processes where issues are found.
• Produce reports and documentation as required.
• Analyse information and action conclusions as required.
• Promote working in a 5-S environment.
• Train other colleagues as and when requested.
• Any additional work identified as necessary for the smooth operation of the business.
14:00 - 00:30 Monday - Thursday. This is a 40 hours per week position (4 x 10 hour shifts)
