My client in Ely Cambridgeshire is currently in need of a Inventory Control Team leader due to expansion.
We are seeking an Inventory Control Team leader who's position will help contribute to the receiving and monitoring of inventory to meet demand forecasts and various corporate financial objectives. This role will involve managing two teams of individuals serving the materials handling team and the packing team. They will have the responsibility of managing the team with day to day tasks, ensuring a safe operating environment whilst meeting the business needs.
Your Responsibilities
* Manage and conduct annual appraisals of all individuals within the team across two shifts
* Manage & Lead any HR related matters within the team
* Release WO's for picking on a daily basis.
* Liaise with production control (planners and buyers) over any shortages or stock discrepancies
* Provide hands on support with all stores activities particularly during busy periods.
* Communicate team briefs to all team members on a regular basis.
* Complete weekly cycle counts and maintain a good stock accuracy level.
* Ensure regular receipt of all goods in and out of bonded stores.
* Pick finished goods and deliver to despatch in line with customer request date.
* Ensure daily stock replenishment to all line side feed locations.
* Actively contribute to new methods and strategies that improve the department/team efficiencies, productivity and reduce costs
* Investigates and corrects inventory issues
* Executes transfers of product systematically as well as physically
* Performs and review data entry in Axapta/Journals/Quarantines
* Responsible for location set-up and layout of inventory materials within the Business Unit
* Lead process improvements regarding policies & procedures to ensure adequate
control of all purchases & inventories
* Maintains and develops further all training aspects within the stores team
* Maintain the safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Essential Requirements and Qualifications
• Attention to detail oriented
• Team player
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 would be an advantage
The salary for this position is paying GBP13.60
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm and Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm
