Process11 Recruitment currently have an excellent permanent career opportunity for an experienced Wire Person, based at our very well respected and established client in the Norwich area.
Reporting to the Wiring Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe wiring of intricate world class products to tight time schedules. You will be working as part of the Wiring Team but also working and communicating effectively with other departments during production such as Mechanical Fitters, Test Engineers and Engineering.
Skills and Experience required;
• Competent in the wiring of cabinets and installing/connecting wiring harnesses into assembled units
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, wiring schedules and circuit diagrams
• Proficient in soldering, crimping, lacing and splicing
• Familiarity with a variety of Mil Spec Connectors, Cable Ident and Cable production techniques
• Excellent soldering abilities
• ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) awareness
• Assembly of PCB's (desirable but not essential)
Qualifications and Education requirements:
• Completed a recognised apprenticeship as a Wire Person or equivalent experience gained through previous employment.
• Preferred to be educated to a minimum of NVQ / City & Guilds level 3 in a relevant discipline
Essential Personal Attributes:
• Good team player with the ability to work using own initiative when required
• Aptitude to produce workmanship to the highest industry standards
• Work in a safe and orderly manner to ensure all company H&S standards are adhered to
• Work at an acceptable pace to meet deadlines, without sacrificing H&S & Quality standards
• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised when required
• Willing to train or be trained by others when require
