Our client, based in Cambridge, is looking for a Centre Administrator to be responsible for the organisation, administration and support of meetings and courses at their training centre. This is an amazing opportunity at an exciting new facility. Previous experience as an Office Manager or Administrator would be highly beneficial in this role. Our client is looking for an energetic, organised and efficient candidate to be responsible for a wide variety of tasks in this role. This is a 12 month fixed term contract; 37.5hrs per week with hybrid working.
Responsibilities will include:
* Meeting and greeting visitors to the centre
* To be responsible for programmes of activity for clients
* To provide administrative and organisational support to the centre strategy group
* Minute taking at meetings
* Data collection and presentation
* To manage and update room bookings and attendance registers
* To support the Director and Technical Manager in establishing a programme of events/courses for the Centre that reflect the educational needs of users of the centre
* To prepare course material and to provide Audio Visual Aids (AVA) support
* To liaise with the Course Director and Technical Manager to ensure that events run smoothly, and to compile and communicate feedback from the courses/events
* To update the departmental website, ensuring all events are accurately displayed
* To be actively involved in the promotion of the centre, by producing course literature and advertising material (internal and external use) for both local and national meetings
* To manage the budget for individual courses and to produce financial statements for the manager
* To assist and support colleagues with ad-hoc tasks as required.
For this role, it is essential that candidates have the following:
* Strong communication skills (email, telephone, and face to face). You will need to maintain excellent communication with staff, visitors, and external agencies.
* The ability to use a wide range of effective communication skills; modifying and adapting to a range of situations.
* Experience managing budgets and financial documents.
* Flexibility: You will need to be prepared to work unsociable hours on occasion when the need arises.
* A strong working knowledge of setting up virtual meetings (Zoom, Teams).
* The drive to be responsible for your own personal development.
* The ability to work using your own initiative; taking accountability for your own work and ensuring that it is of the highest quality, meeting standards and deadlines
