Introduction: We are an agency recruiting for a prestigious motoring organisation who prepare the street signage for large events across the UK.
They are looking to recruit a Signs Operative / FLT Driver to join a small but hardworking and friendly team producing, packaging and shipping signs.
Job Title: Signs Operative / FLT Driver
Location: Kempston, Bedfordshire
Description: Working as a Signs Operative / FLT Driver to produce road signs and other signage. The job involves helping make the signs, packing, loading and completing the documents and paperwork.
Will require Fork Lift Truck driving and may require some Delivery Driving.
Skills & Experience: No previous experience or making signs is required as full training will be given however applicants should have a current Counterbalance FLT licence and full UK driving licence with maximum 3 points for minor endorsements and no bans.
Training: Full induction and training programme is given onsite at the start of the contract.
Shift Pattern: 40 hours basic per week:
Monday - Thursday: 08:00-16:45 (45 minute lunch unpaid)
Friday: 08:00-15:30 (45 minute lunch unpaid)
Overtime: There is lots and lots of overtime available including earlier starts and later finishes plus weekends.
Pay Rate: Enhanced Summer Rate from 1st May to 31st October: GBP11.68 per hour
Note: the permanent salary after the 3-month Temp-to-Perm period is: GBP22,222
Job Status: Temporary for 3-months initially with a view to being transferred to a permanent position.
Vetting: They will require full vetting including referencing, DBS check and a credit check. If you have any unspent criminal convictions or cautions in the UK or abroad you MUST declare them to us at the time of applying. You will also need to tell us if you have any CCJs, IVA or Bankruptcies. All information provided will be treated in the strictest confidence and may determine if we can submit you for the position
