Our client who is a leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Multi-skilled Engineer (Electrical bias)

The successful applicant will assist with projects including on-site maintenance, fault finding and installation work, manufacturing of specialised machinery, panel building etc, for a wide range of industries including Aerospace, Automotive & Food sectors.

The Role:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for a wide range of multi-skilled engineering duties including;

Assist with machine build, assembly & testing
Attend on site breakdowns and machine installations
Single and 3 -phase electrical wiring, fault find and repair
Motors, inverters, contactors, sensors, relays,
Control panel design build
plc fault find and repair
Hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, etc etcThis is a hybrid role, mainly workshop based with some field service work.

Candidates:

The successful candidate will be a multiskilled engineer with electrical bias.
You will have previous experience in machine installation, maintenance, service and repair and you will have excellent understanding of electrical control panels.

Good plc fault find and repair skills essential. Applicants familiar with Mitsubishi, Omron, Allen Bradley or Siemens plc preferred.

You will be a qualified engineer with minimum level qualification NVQ 3 in electrical engineering or 17th/18 Edition wiring regs certification will be acceptable as long as you have some machine maintenance and repair experience.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 8.30am -4.30pm
