Within the role, you will teach ESOL across all levels to learners age 19+ years using a variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies that meet the individual needs of all learners. You will deliver engaging and inspiring remote and face to face lessons to ensure learners are gaining a positive learning experience, all members of the group are respected, are able to participate and ultimately, achieve their qualifications.
As a Lecturer in ESOL, we’d like you to hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject and have excellent teaching skills in ESOL across all levels. You should have current knowledge of curriculum changes and the implications for teaching and learning strategies and have a high level of computer literacy and practical digital skills, including experience of delivering remote learning. We’d also like you to have a thorough understanding of the Quality Assurance cycle and your role in it, and experience of working to meet Awarding Organisations’ standards.
A teaching qualification is not essential; however, we do ask that you are willing to achieve one in line with current regulations.
