Cover Supervisor

This is an exciting new opportunity to join our team at Driffield School & Sixth Form from September 2022 supervising classes in the absence of the timetabled class teacher.  You will ensure that students carry out the curriculum tasks set by the class teacher, assisting them to understand the nature of the work set and manage student behaviour. 

The Cover Supervision Team plays a key part in the life of the school and we will give you training and mentor support in school for this exciting new opportunity.  Our moto is ‘work hard and be nice to people’ and the school was recently described by Ofsted as a ‘friendly and happy place’ (2020).

We are looking for an individual who is a great communicator and able to quickly build a rapport with young people.  You will be committed to ensuring that every individual child receives the care, support and guidance they need to thrive and be the best that they can be.  You will also: 

• possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• be organised and adaptable to be able to respond to the changing requirements of cover supervision
• be a great team player
• be able to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential

Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday during term-time.  The salary will paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is summer holidays you will continue to receive the same payment each month.  If you are interested in working on a part-time basis, please contact us as we are happy to explore this further with you.
