Working Pattern: Fixed Term until August 2023

Term-Time Only + 2 Weeks (40 weeks per year, 0.93), 36 hrs per week

This post involves working in college 2 days per week and 3 days at other institutions overseen by the Virtual School Headteacher. The additional two weeks to be worked: In August (A Level results) and in July.

We require a skilled and highly motivated individual to work in partnership with Tameside College and Tameside Virtual School/College to raise the aspirations, attendance and achievement of looked after children (post 16) and care leavers. You will co-ordinate and track progress of learners across institutions and ensure that Personal Education Plans (PEPS) are completed and are of high quality.

You will have a proven track record in understanding, inspiring and motivating young people. You will be experienced in monitoring the achievement and progression of students within an educational setting. You will have a sound understanding of the range of issues facing young people with barriers to their learning specifically those who are looked after or care leavers. You will have excellent interpersonal skills in working with students, ability to remain calm, a problem solving approach and be highly organised and able to work on your own initiative.
