This could be YOU as our latest Accounts Assistant! You will help assist in management accounts, ensure correct allocation of costs, and provide detailed financial analysis when needed.

The Role:
It is an exciting time here at City Plumbing. We have recently become a stand-alone business and are making real strides in creating an inclusive workplace that celebrates and values diversity.
Within this role you'll assist in managing accounts, processing analytical financial data to ensure correct allocation of costs is made to the relevant costs centre, and providing financial analysis when required.
Areas of focus:
Preparation and posting of pre and post-month-end overhead journals.
Analyse financial data in order to allocate out the relevant charges received and investigate any variances between actual costs and budgets.
Report on monthly charges and overhead costs to internal management in order to inform business decisions.
Preparing and assisting with FA month-end journals and FA additions from WIP.
Investigate and resolve between invoices received and allocation of costs to branches.
Preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
Recommend new processes and procedures where appropriate in order to increase efficiency and accuracy.
This is a hybrid-based opportunity with true flexibility to work from home, but you should be within commutable distance of our newly refurbished offices in Crick, Northamptonshire.
This means you could be based in Corby, Coventry, Hinckley, Kettering, Leamington Spa, Leicester, Loughborough, Lutterworth, Market Harborough, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Northampton, Nuneaton, Oundle, Peterborough, Rugby, Rushden, Tamworth, Wellingborough, as well as Crick itself.
You:

Required skills and competencies:
Experience of working within a financial team.
AAT qualified or similar.
A desire to undertake a professional qualification (think ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
Clear and concise knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
High level of attention to detail.
Sound knowledge of accounting principles.
It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Accounts Assistant, Accounts Executive, Assistant Accountant, Financial Analyst, Finance Assistant, Finance, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, AAT, Renewables, Sustainability, Construction, Building Products.
