We now support a variety of programmes including full works teams in international race and rally series, with our latest Motorsport venture, Dakar, seeing over 4 million spectators globally! Our Technicians, Mechanics, Fabricators and Engineers all work together every step of the way with one goal; to win

We are now recruiting for a Principal Design Engineer to join our Chassis Design group, providing knowledge and expertise to our variety of Motorsport programmes. You will be CAD proficient in both surface and solid modelling with an exceptional understanding of a complete vehicle. Ideally you will have previous experience on composite design and Siemens NX CAD software, however these are not essential.

Key responsibilities:

* Contribution towards project feasibility studies
* Lead the design of sub-projects, managing junior team members as required
* Concept design of major vehicle sub-systems and components such as bodywork, suspension, steering, body structure, driveline components and transmission ancillaries, as set out by design specification and budget constraints
* Development of engineering calculations to support and inform design decisions
* Refinement of design to final CAD assemblies, component design and associated detailed drawings, with validation through FEA and bench testing
* Release of parts and assembly structures onto specific Bill of Materials
* Ensuring Bills of Materials are accurate and up to date
* Understanding the commercial impact of design on stock and project costs
* Clear and concise communication with other departments, customers and suppliers to achieve project goals

Who we are looking for???

Our ideal candidate will have extensive motorsport experience, ideally within a similar role with management/mentoring responsibility. You will be educated to degree level within Engineering and have experience designing major vehicle systems and components for different motorsport projects and have a genuine passion for what they do. A combination of mathematical analysis and logical thinking will underpin your decision-making processes.
