LOCATION: DUBLIN
6 moths contract with the view to permanency
Our client is now looking for an Accountant/Bookkeeper with XERO experience to join their team.
Main accountabilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance
Reconciling the company s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
Preparation of accounts and tax returns.
Ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
Generating the company s financial reports using income and expenditure data
Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies or guidelines
Developing a system to track your company s financial transactions by creating a chart of accounts and a set of clearly defined bookkeeping procedures and policies.
Compliance with relevant legal requirements by carefully studying these requirements, enforcing company adherence, filing reports and advising management on the necessary actions.
Controlling the income and expenditure of clients and your company
Administering company payrolls.
The creation and presentation of reports, business plans, budgets and financial statements
To be successful in this role you will have:
+2 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping/financial position
Experience with XERO is mandatory
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel/ Microsoft Office
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with accounting software
Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures
Ability to work independently
Analytical skills
Fluency in English (another language a plus)
Due to the nature of this role, only candidates already based in Ireland can be considered at this time.
EU/UK Passport or Stamp 4 Visa required
