As this is a greenfield site, you'll have massive opportunities to grow and develop as they continue to hire and expand the facility.

Right now they require a Software Engineering Manager supporting a team developing data applications

YOUR ROLE

Manage a team of engineers developing readable, well-tested applications, APIs, and libraries

Develop and maintain a strong engineering culture within the team, in both technical and social components

Ensure the delivery of technology initiatives through design to iterative development phases

Establish clear requirements for engineering projects in coordination with a Product Manager

Evaluate engineering design proposals in a technical capacity

Evaluate and develop the technical performance of individual contributors

Guide engineers through their career progression and personal growth

Mentor junior engineers

Uphold engineering standards in terms of software and systems quality and performance

YOUR BACKGROUND

6+ years of software engineering experience (Java or Go or Python)

2+ years of direct people management experience

Extensive prior work with cloud-based systems

Broad experience developing high-throughput backend systems, at the infrastructure and software levels

Deep understanding of observability concepts and tooling

Strong ability to review, write and evaluate code

YOUR TEAMS TECH STACK

Go, Python, or Java

ScyllaDB, Cassandra, NoSQL databases

Amazon AWS services
