The Role:
Support the full automation of build and deployment processes for software products, ensuring these are in line with Release schedules and match business needs. Responsible for the full automation of build and deployment processes for software products within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the full automation of build and deployment processes for software products within the business.
- Build and innovate to replace mid & large-scale manual operating processes with scripts and
- applications
- Driving analysis, design, and development of automation tools for configuration, provisioning,
- deployment, development, and operational tasks
- Should have configured automated systems management solutions with self-repair as the goal
- Ability to drive to solutions both independently and working with teams leveraging strong
- analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Should be able to develop, initiate and configure tasks on Automation areas of IT Operations management
- Work closely with the Infrastructure team, QA team, Developers, Solution Architect and Team Leads to brainstorm, design and implement technical build and deployment solutions for new and existing projects
- Produce clear installation and deployment guides for Infrastructure and DBA Team.
- Assist in the upgrade of the development tools within the Development team in line with the
- Build and deployment servers.
Skills & Attributes:
- Experience in Azure DevOps, GIT and any configuration management tools.
- Have a good awareness of .net framework and dot core code.
- Support the implementation of new and existing programs and projects, as well as enhancements to existing applications.
- Experience in setting up build/release pipelines in Azure.
- Scripting experience in PowerShell, YAML/Json beneficial.
- Experience with Windows OS, IIS and .Net framework versions,
- APIs or micro services.
- Experience in Microsoft .Net Technology, SQL basic knowledge is an added advantage
- Good Knowledge of Branching and Merging concepts.
- Experience in utilising the following tools - Azure DevOps, Sonar products, Octopus Deploy (or similar) Nexus IQ Server.
