Our client can offer a salary ranging from GBP50,000-GBP60,000 plus car, bonus and benefits
Zachary Daniels are proud to be partnering with a highly successful retailer in their search for a Continuous Improvement Manager that will focus on their national distribution network. This is a brand new position that will report into the Head of Productivity and will allow the successful candidate the opportunity to help transform the performance of the distribution network. This is a hybrid role with home working balanced with time in Head Office as well as within the Distribution network.
About the role
* Continuously develop and improve operational processes by introducing industry proven continuous improvement methodology
* Able to apply continuous improvement practices, including value stream optimization, to eliminate waste and improve the Distribution network productivity
* Effectively manage process improvement projects and workstreams as part of wider larger projects, including budgets and project plans.
* Coach, mentor, motivate project & programmed team members and business teams in Lean-based process improvement, Root Cause Analysis, 5S, Kaizen and workshop facilitation techniques
* Responsible for maintaining, updating, applying work measurement values to an industry defined best practice
* Responsible for maintaining productive relationships with all key stakeholders across all of the UK distribution sites
* Works cross functional with supply chain and retail and to ensure end to end supply chain cost control is understood and decisions are made that give end to end supply chain benefits
About the candidate
* The preferred candidate would have experience of working with Work measurement and continuous improvement methodologies in high volume high paced retail distribution environments
* Experience in a Continuous Improvement role focused on retail stores or distribution is essential
* Understanding and applying measured work standards
* Able to build, evaluate, and deploy multisite productivity models
* Understanding of depot to store chains and be able evaluate cost impacts / benefits
* Able to work cross functionally with both internal and external parties to deliver the scoped end products
Qualifications
Qualified in Time study to IMS standards
IMS Current BS Race Rating Card
Prince 2 or comparable project Management techniques
Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma preferred but training will be given
