The Rockpool is a boho style beach cafe and wedding venue, famous for good food and a sandy back garden. Situated less than half an hour's drive from St Ives and two minutes' walk from the stunning Godrevy beach, famous for surfing, along with many other outdoor and water-based activities, the restaurant lies on the sand dunes of Gwithian beach on Cornwall's north coast. This relaxed restaurant and beach bar serves up a seasonal, locally produced menu from small bites to main meals, to eat in or to grab and go to the beach. We are searching for a Head Chef who is passionate about what they do and able to lead a team.
As Head Chef you will:
* Be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, managing and motivating the team, ensuring that ongoing training and development is offered to all members of the team
* Have solid man management and kitchen management skills
* Be a creative and talented Chef with high standards who can lead their team by example and inspire them
* Have the passion and ability to maintain a high standard of cuisine, able to adapt between high volume and a la carte offerings
* Develop the menu, using local fresh ingredients, including catering for events such as weddings, festivals and other events.
