Pertemps are continuing to support our client who specialises in manufacturing gas detection equipment based in Inchinnan, Renfrewshire and who are currently looking for a Production Operator (Stores, Despatch, Goods in) to join their team on a rolling contract with immediate starts!
Start date: ASAP
Rate of pay: GBP10
Hours per week: 40
Job Purpose:
Responsible for Material control. The accurate fulfilment of orders from goods in and stock management/replenishment, through to picking, kitting and packing
Ensures the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse
materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer
demand.
Your main responsibilities will include:
" Support stores functions, goods in, general stores and despatch.
" Picking, kitting, packing and labelling orders for dispatch with accuracy and without delay
" Processing returns and goods inwards
" Receiving and manually unloading deliveries, manually loading courier vehicles
" Maintain accurate Stock control.
" Provide timely feedback to supervisor regarding production issues/concerns.
Skill Set
(Not all skills are required initially. Training/development will be provided for this role)
" The ability to work in a team, within a productivity range, and contribute positively to its activities.
" Strong hand eye co-ordination.
" Capable of producing consistent work standards to quality needs.
" Manual handling, bending and reaching as part of your normal duties.
" Forklift truck use (forklift license), use of pallet trucks, trolleys.
" Picking and packing experience
" Basic understanding of and quality control methods through data collection
