Assistant Estimator
Assistant Estimator required for a busy Kent based Civils Contractor . (GBP40k-GBP45k plus package)
We are currently looking to speak to Assistant Estimators looking to forward their career with a Medway based Civils contractor who undertake local authority projects and domestic of various sizes. All projects are based in Kent and the South East. Flexible working is welcomed also.
This small to medium sized contractor are looking for a keen, numerate individual with good communication skills and an excellent work ethic to join the successful Commercial Team undertaking general Estimating and commercial activities in a supportive working environment.
Reporting directly into the Commercial Management, there will be some on job training to get you up to speed, but it would be beneficial if you have previous experience of working in a commercial team within the construction industry or direct civil work experience.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Duties:
* Preparing and issuing quotations.
* Liaising with our suppliers and sourcing new ones.
* Updating and maintaining our database/systems.
* Liaison with current and potential clients
* Other relevant commercial duties.
Essential:
* Good and accurate literacy, numeracy and administrative skills.
* Excellent IT skills
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong telephone manner.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Exceptional administrative and organisation skills.
* The ability to prioritise workload and work as part of a team.
