Multi-Skilled Electrician

We are recruiting on behalf of our successful client based in Peterborough. They are looking for a Multi-Skilled Electrician to join their team to help repair and maintain all site machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Complete regular machine maintenance programmes to reduce packing downtime and complete relevant paperwork

* Attend Breakdowns promptly and carry out repairs successfully

* Support suggest and implement continuous improvement

* Comply with relevant H&S, Food hygiene and environmental legislation

* perform high quality root cause analysis for technical and process problems

* Get involved in project work including installation and commissioning equipment in line with current regulations

* Make recommendations to maximise the "up-time" of each machine through enhanced cleaning or maintenance schedules

* Support and coach the operational teams in resolving technical issues on machines

* Work with contractors ensuring adherence to all company H&S and food hygiene standards and regulations. Audit their work using PTW system to ensure satisfactory completion.

* Work in a clean and safe environment. Monitor work area to ensure it is safe and colleges are following safe practises. Make recommendations to the manager if improvements are needed

Skills and Experience Required:

* Electrical qualification with extensive additional mechanical ability/experience

* Proven FMCG work experience

* 17th Edition wiring regulations qualification

* PLC programming/diagnostic knowledge

* Effective communication skills

* Positive attitude

* Flexible and self motivated

* Logical and analytical

* HNC/HND desirable

Hours:

* Nights 8pm - 8am, 4 on 4 off

Salary:

* GBP42,000 per annum
