Electrical Assembly / Production Assistant
An opportunity has arisen for a Production Assistant to join a modern, rapidly expanding electrical control and distribution engineering company, serving both industry within the UK and abroad. This is a full-time, permanent basis at their site in Leicester.
You will assist the Production Department with general duties to meet customer demand and any other tasks required to ensure a streamline production process.
Key responsibilities:
Assisting the Production Department with any manufacturing duties i.e., cutting, bending and finishing.
Maintaining high housekeeping standards by performing daily cleans and weekly deep cleans in machinery areas.
Helping the stores department when required including any deliveries and collections.
Assisting with loading and unloading of vehicles.
Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
All other duties as required that are considered to be a reasonable employer request.
Our ideal candidate:
Good level of numeracy and literacy skills.
Excellent communication skills.
A good understanding of the build process for switchgear.
Full driving licence is essential
Displays a confident and clear approach when communicating internally and with external customers/suppliers.
The ability to build relationships with people quickly through effective communication.
Displays an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
Respectful of customer confidentiality and also when handling customer information.
Be able to work independently using own initiative.
