RSE are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team in our Inverness office. This is a full time position, 40 hours per week. Your role will involve managing the financial and commercial aspects of individual projects and larger portfolios of work and frameworks. You would be able to offer strategic guidance to Clients (including prioritising spending, outsourcing, etc) whilst understanding and adhering to current legislation, health and safety law and contract law. Management of the Quantity Surveyors, Assistant Quantity Surveyors, Graduate Quantity Surveyors and Trainee Quantity Surveyors.
Essential:
* RICS recognised qualification or equivalent in one or more of the following - surveying, construction, civil engineering, structural engineering
* Ability to interpret drawings and specifications to allow the preparation of Bills of Quantities/Schedules of Rates and other such procurement documentation
* Experience in contract final accounts including valuations and variations required
* Must have experience in cost control
* Experience in NEC contracts
* Ability to delegate to a team of commercial staff
* Good IT literacy with competency in Excel
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable:
* Experience of cost/value reconciliation/reporting, project management, negotiating and settlement of accounts across a large portfolio of projects desirable
* Experience in the Water Industry desirable
