**Job Summary**

We have exciting opportunities for self-motivated Senior Technicians at our laboratories in Chesterford Park, around 10 miles from Cambridge.

successful candidates will workas part of a growing team, using a range of state-of-the-art liquid handling automation to provide the right sample, in the right format, at the right time. Supporting all projects running within Charles River Early Discovery globally, from Hit Identification through iterative Lead Optimisation campaigns aimed at discovering new medicines for our client's projects. Within Early Discovery at Charles River, we hold our own large screening libraries for delivery of High Throughput Screening campaigns, along with managing and curating proprietary libraries for our clients, using industry-leading sample management software to deliver a fast, efficient and quality service.

You will work in a challenging and dynamic environment that will provide the ideal opportunity to learn new skills in logistics, project planning, advanced robotics and contribute directly to progression of multiple drug-discovery projects.

*Main Tasks*
• To ensure accurate processing and delivery of test samples to assay groups across the organisation
• To become proficient in the operation and maintenance of state-of-the-art laboratory robotics and ensure the continuous operation of these systems
• To ensure communication with multiple internal customer groups to enable accurate planning of project timelines for delivery to our client projects.
• To accurately maintain records of work delivered and maintenance logs of equipment
• Improving existing processes, or implementing new processes to improve efficiencies

*Candidate Profile*
• Educated to degree level within a scientific discipline ideally
• Prior experience of working in compound management or screening environments either from industry or academic settings highly desired.
• You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced laboratory, with an enthusiastic attitude to learn
• Further experience of trouble shooting and training other users on robotics and automated platforms would be highly advantageous as there is scope to consider those on a more senior level
