About The Role We ve got a fantastic opportunity for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our Falfish manufacturing site in Redruth. Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you will work closely with the production team to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is conducted in advance to avoid production disruption.
The job is working days 5 over 7 off shifts on a 3 weekly shift pattern. Typically: Week 1 - 6am-2pm Week 2 - 2pm-10pm Week 3 - 7am-3pm (M,T, W) and 6am-2pm (S,S)
Requirements of the Job
As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will work collaboratively within the engineering team, providing support in investigating means of improving plant productivity and also investigating and establishing causes for all breakdowns and damages. You ll action any repairs and ensure that all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised and you will be involved in electrical and mechanical proactive and re-active maintenance. This role as a Multi Skilled Engineer is 80% mechanical based. Our MSE's will also help with site maintenance elements as well, this covers elements such as repairs to curbing, floors and general site maintenance as well as the machine engineering element. About You You ll need to be qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering) with a proven track record in an engineering and fault finding role gained from a FMCG environment (ideally the food industry). You ll also have a good understanding of HACCP principles and ideally IEE qualification up to 17th edition wiring regulations would be advantageous. Ideally you will have a strong mechanical background with a good grounding in electrical engineering.
