We are working with a client in London who are looking for Operational Police to join them and become Lecturer's in a university setting.
The purpose of this role will be to deliver engaging, evidence based, high energy lectures and assessments to ensure students' progress in a timely manner through their programme
- No formal training experience required - full training provided
Essential
- Operational policing experience within the last 5 years is ideal
- Level 6 Degree educated - in any subject
What's on offer?
- GBP45,900 (rising to GBP48,450 after 6 months and passing probation) - Permanent - 5 days a week, Monday to Friday - Anglia Ruskin university - E14 Area or University of East London in Stratford, or University of West London in Ealing
- Monday to Thursday 09:00 - 17:00 based on site at HEI (Higher Education Institute), Fridays work from home
- Full training will be provided during initial 6 weeks
- Will be working towards HEI qualification (18 months duration)
Or
- GBP55,000 for a 12 month fixed term contract at either of the following locations - University of East London in Stratford or University of West London in Ealing or Anglia Ruskin University in E14
Day to day:
- Deliver an excellent student experience in accordance with the programme requirements
- Provide teaching, learning support and undertake assessment to ensure students' progress timely through their programme
- To develop highly motivated students who proactively engage with learning and transfer knowledge, skills and behaviours to the workplace, and enable them to integrate theory with practice through reflection
- Provide feedback and appropriate student support
- Support the curriculum team in the development of lesson plans and learning collateral to ensure the programme is current, innovative and evidence based
- Share best practice and engage in standardisation activities to enhance and develop the programme and ensure a consistent learning experience across the team
- Ensure delivery meets the requirements of the awarding bodies (HEIs) and the clients quality assurance framework
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills
- Ability to support, motivate and inspire others; driving performance and professionalism
- Strong KPI and performance focus in delivery
- Experience of delivering a consistent student experience
- Experience of developing interactive, engaging teaching and assessment collateral
- IT literate and able to use a variety of software (including MS Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
The interview process:
- Consist of a presentation and competency interview which Reed will support you with.
Vetting will be completed at NPPV 2 which can take around 4/6 weeks to complete so this role is not an immediate start.
