ROLE SUMMARY

A new opportunity has arisen within the company for an experienced, full time, permanent Quality Systems Engineer to work at our manufacturing base in Woking area. The role will involve management, maintenance and development of the company's business managements system and the regular validation and confirmation of the systems through internal audit and external assessment by regulatory bodies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Day to day management of the company's business management systems: ISO9001, ISO13485 and ISO17025;

The maintenance and management of core procedures and controlled documents in line with established procedures;

The development and improvement of procedures in line with internal and external stakeholder requirements or including any new standards requiring implementation;

Management and maintenance of the company's internal audit systems, including the audit schedule, in line with internal and external requirements;

Managing audits and lead involvement in BSI and UKAS audits, including preparation activities beforehand;

Conducting internal systems, process & product audits in line with the internal audit schedule;

Play an active role in identifying opportunities for improvement within the business management systems used by the company;

Production of KPI reports and data analysis and to identify key trends which will be used to drive continuous improvement within the organization;

Involvement with other activities in the Quality Department including NPI projects, customer and supplier issues;

Supervising a QC Inspector that has a direct line report to the Quality Systems Engineer;

Any other reasonable request.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience of working in a similar role;

An experienced auditor with lead auditor training;

A good understanding of ISO9001, ISO13485 and/or ISO17025 standards and their implementation within organizations;

An excellent knowledge of procedures, work instructions and their importance with business;

Proven experience managing audits by certification bodies;

Able to work under pressure and to deadlines;

An effective communicator across all levels who is able to work with all areas to ensure that the company's business management system is respected and adhered to;

Able to analyze complex data, draw conclusions and make proposals;

Able to work proactively with little supervision and play an active role in the Quality Team;

Experience in a Quality role within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment and Degree/similar level qualification;

Positive and dynamic with a 'can do' attitude;

IT literate, with proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and Word
