Electrical Technician
TXM Recruit are looking for experienced technicians to work with one of our rail clients in Crewe.
Main Purpose
To support the Crewe Service centre by providing verification of equipment
Main Responsibilities:
• Verification of equipment
• Observe Network Rail Standard Specifications
• Manufacture of electrical signalling equipment to technical wiring diagrams.
• Testing of 240v equipment
• Manufacture of printed circuit boards (PCBs)
• Inspection of safety-critical equipment
• Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Restoration work
• Manufacturing to pattern
• Be involved in cost-saving initiatives using Unipart Rail tools and techniques
• High level of dexterity Flexible Willing to learn Willing to train to inspector level Motivated Able to work on own initiative High-quality standard.
The positions are working across in areas such as repairs, relays and TPWS/TCA (braking systems)
Qualifications
Essential:
• Electrically qualified level 3
• Previous rail experience in repairs of rail equipment desired
• Previous work on PCBs and electronic equipment
Working Monday - Friday DAYS
GBP16/hour whilst on 12 weeks temp,
GBP30,784 once perm with the client
