Our client is looking for someone to join their growing team responsible for the build and maintenance of both prototype and production batteries. The high voltage batteries are the beating hearts of our clients' vehicles, as a battery assembly technician you will be responsible for producing the batteries the vehicle workshop need to bring a new lease of life to each of our clients beautifully restored vehicles. Each battery will need to be built to the highest standard of quality capturing all end of build data. The battery assembly technicians may also be required to investigate systems faults, these faults will need to be reported, recorded and rectified.

Key responsibilities:

* To carry out battery build activities as required.

* To investigate, diagnose and repair faults

* To carry out system testing on both batteries and vehicles when required.

* To support prototype emphasis builds and highlight all build issues found.

* To produce concise parts and materials requirements lists to assist with the procurement process.

Skills:

The candidate must be able to demonstrate experience of working in a safety conscious environment and have a strong understanding of what PPE is required to work on in this environment and when to use it. The ideal candidate must have:

* Knowledge of vehicle systems

* Ability to diagnose, assess and repair or replace worn or faulty components or assemblies.

* Analytical skills to review build instructions and spot any faults or inconsistencies

* Ability to spot and raise safety concerns

Progression:

In return our client is offering over a period of time to train through internal and external formats the skill sets required to assemble high voltage battery packs.

Qualifications:

A formal qualification is not mandatory, but relevant apprenticeships or NVQ qualifications would be beneficial
