My client based in Stockport are looking for an experience Finance Assistant to join their hardworking friendly team.

Salary: GBP13.70ph

Hours: Monday to Friday - 09:00 - 17:00 (30 min lunch)

This is a temporary ongoing role with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

Duties include:

Creating accounts for new customers
Managing accounts for new customers
Making sure all accounts are kept tidy and up to date (maintaining sales ledger)
Producing and processing invoices and recharges
Investigating and managing queries and registering invoice disputes
Investigating and resolving any deductions from payments
Reconcile the bank
Prepare accurate month end statements for customers
Ensure efficient collection of customer debt
Maintain an efficient average for settlement accounts to improve cash flow and minimise bad debt exposure
Communicate with customers and accounts receivable team
Report to manager regarding status of large debtors and needing to put customers on stop
Maintaining confidentiality of the department
Looking for improvements and making recommendations
All other duties as required Experience required:

Sage Line 50 experience
Previous experience in a sales ledger role
Great accuracy skills
Strong telephony skills
Able to work in a timely manner and prioritise workload
Quick thinker and problem solver
