Night Hygiene Supervisor - GBP14.42ph - Yaxley
Taskmaster are currently recruiting for a Hygiene Supervisor for our client (food production-vegetables ) based in Yaxley, Peterborough.
Key accountabilities:
• Optimising manufacturing functions.
• Lean manufacturing/continuous improvement programmes.
• Delivery of departments KPI's and own PDR objectives.
• Support the site to be audit ready at all times.
Key responsibilities:
• Ensure that COSHH regulations and all Health & Safety, Company Policies and Procedures are followed.
• Implement and maintain a thorough and complete cleaning schedule with associated procedures and systems in place to meet BRC requirements & retailer requirements.
• Develop and train the wider hygiene team operatives in existing/new cleaning practices, machinery assembly and overall ways of working whilst ensuring a full training and record keeping system is in place.
• Leading the hygiene aspect of your shifts audits, inspections and visits.
• Recording and acting upon KPI systems both internally and customer based.
• Understanding of environmental microbiology, the effects of cleaning, the risks of poor hygiene standards and how to correct these issues through swabbing / sampling regimes.
• Driving continuous improvements across the companies approach to Hygiene.
• Ensure that the cleaning and safety equipment required by the hygiene team is used correctly and that any damage is reported, removed from the area and replaced with new.
• Ensure all paperwork is signed and dated correctly and in real time.
• Use forklift truck and cherry-picker for cleaning at height only when trained to do so.
• Use cleaning chemicals to the correct titration as stated on the hygiene instruction cards in conjunction with COSHH procedures.
• Always maintain a safe working environment.
• Provide effective communication to Line Manager regarding any problems/difficulties encountered.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties requested by your Line Manager.
Pay rate: GBP14.42+ depending on experience
Hours of work: Tuesday to Saturday 8pm to 5am (flexibility based on business needs).
