Quality Technologist - Fresh Produce

Our Client is an established and highly successful Fresh Produce supplier, working with an exciting portfolio of products that are destined for the UK retailers. We are currently seeking a Quality Technologist to work at a product dedicated site to strengthen their position with customers.

Reporting to and working closely with the Technical Manager, the successful Quality Technologist will ensure compliance to Legal, Food Safety, and Customer requirements. This is a fantastic Technologist / Technical Assistant opportunity that would be suited to an individual currently working within the Fresh Produce sector, now seeking the next position within a technical function and career.

Responsibilities will include;

Manage site compliance to BRC food standards

Complete corrective actions within the expected timescales

Support the Technical Manager with the internal audit schedule

Document all non-conformances, assist with root cause analysis

Management of technical documentation with accuracy and detail; HACCP, QA Management Standards, Compliance

Provide clear and effective communication with regards to compliance expectations & standards to colleagues across quality and production

We require;

Experience in the Fresh Produce / Food sector is paramount

Confident knowledge gained from a similar quality / technical position

Understanding of HACCP, Food Safety, Quality and Compliance standards

Food Safety Level 3 and an internal Auditing qualification being advantageous

The ability to work effectively in a small team, build sound relationships, and invest in the long term business goal is imperative.

Salary; GBP27k dependent on experience level offered

Hours: Sunday - Thursday (Friday/Saturday off), working 6am - 2:30pm.
