Electrical Academic Lecturer

Salary: Up between GBP37,700 - GBP40,650 DOE
Introduction
We're currently looking to recruit an Electrical Academic Lecture to be based out of HMS Sultan in Gosport who will be responsible for the delivery of academic courses focused on Electrical engineering. As an Electrical Academic Lecturer, you will manage and instructing military and civilian personnel in Electrical engineering, including Power Electronics academic modules to Foundation Degree level in accordance with approved instructional specifications.
The Job
Reporting to the Department Training Manager , you will be responsible for.
Delivering academic technical and laboratory assignment training modules, including mathematics to trainees/students in line with the DCTT EMTC Course Documentation and as directed by the DTM, including both distributed training and distance learning.
To advise Training Design where training material requires updating or is inadequate in some way and to provide SME input to training design as required.
Maintain personal CPD portfolio in respect of new technologies and equipment, and new training delivery methodologies.
Ensure that lesson plans and training sessions are developed in accordance with the approved syllabi. Assessment of trainees to include creation of written examination papers, creation of practical assessments and marking.
Provide coaching and mentoring of students/trainees to ensure maximum benefit from the courses are achieved and high passed rates are met.
The candidate
Candidates will have the following skills and experience.
Minimum qualification of bachelor's degree in an engineering or maths discipline and hold a recognised teaching qualification - (Desirable)
Have experience of teaching subjects in a military environment - Desirable
Be committed to undergoing continues professional development (CPD)
Possesses sufficient knowledge to respond to learners needs; professionally as a technical subject matter expert; educationally as a training practitioner and practically as a mentor or coach
Have completed a DCTS Defence Train the Trainer Course (successful completion) or equivalent - desirable
You will need to satisfy security requirements which may require you to hold or be eligible of achieving Security Clearance (SC)
