We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and professional Quantity Surveyor to join our Fortem team, based in Stockport supporting our Onward Homes contract! As the Quantity Surveyor, you will ensure appropriate commercial controls are in place and adhered to in order to secure the company's full entitlement through the contract. You will build long term, influential relationships with suppliers to provide flexibility to changing business needs; negotiating with partners and controlling the commercial aspects of the supply chain.Key Responsibilities:Revenue- Ensure the company secures its full entitlement- Lever cash flow through weekly invoicing, the implementation of appropriate procedures to resolve client queries and ensuring cash is received when due.- Monitor job cost against job revenue to identify problem areas- Ensure accurate revenue profiles and cashflow forecasts are in placeFinancial Control- Assist in the preparation of the monthly cost value comparison (CVC), along with a Forecast Final Account- Management accounts Follow procedures to ensure proper allocation of job cost- Monitor IT system financial information and put in place regular cleansing regimes- Take a lead in the control of supply chain ensuring full visibility of liabilities- Minimise capital employed within budget targets- Monitor financial performance against budget & explain variances- Ensure valuation receipts are in accordance with conditions of contract - Quarterly reconcile of accounts and agreement with client- Ensure all forecasting is robust and accurate- Accurate monitoring of profit and loss with an emphasis on transparencySubcontractors and Suppliers- Issue subcontract enquiries, compare quotes, undertake negotiations and place comprehensive orders- Ensure and demonstrate value for money- Ensure variations are measured and priced accurately- Ensure payments are in accordance with subcontract agreements- Performance Information- Implementation of financial performance indicators to ascertain business efficiency- Monitor and report on financial KPI's- Ensure the supply chain is managed in line with company procedures and policies- Take ownership of expanding the current supply chain - Ensure all the correct contractual notices are issued accurately and in a timely manner

- Ensure good professional relationships, with an emphasis on good communicationClient Relationship- Maintain client relationship through regular interaction-Meet client expectations through accurate and timely financial information-Administer the appropriate contractual notices to maximise our entitlement whilst ensuring the client is bought into the process- Ensure the client is engaged in a professional manner at all times- Fully understand Fortems contractual obligations

Essential Criteria:- Excellent numeracy and organisation skills- Good communications skills- Good record keeping- Good line management skills- Use data interrogation skills- Excellent IT knowledge including a high level of Excel skills (incl.
