Growth and Economic Development Assistant

Location: County Hall, Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, NG2 7QP. Travel across Nottinghamshire may be required.

These roles will work in a small specialist team and have the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders. You'll work with colleagues across the Council and beyond, drawing on expertise, and building and maintaining long-lasting collaborative relationships. You will work across the whole team to help contribute to, support and shape the delivery of the Nottinghamshire Plan and the Economic Transition plan objectives, programmes and projects.

You will be involved in several projects to accelerate business and economic growth in Nottinghamshire and deliver projects within a fast-paced partnership context. For example, coordination of economic intelligence and development of business cases, supporting the delivery of external funded projects and programmes, drafting and co-ordinating communications and economic events and business engagement.

You will report into either the Senior Growth and Economic Development Officer (People / Visitor Economy) but will be expected to provide support to all officers within the team.

The role will involve some travel, mainly within the County. The usual working hours are 37 per week, but there may be occasion for out of hours working e. when attending occasional events and other off-site functions during evenings/unsocial hours.
