Do you want to work for a business that cares about more than just the bottom line? Then this is the opportunity you’ve been looking for!
Are you an experienced administrator who can balance workloads, respond quickly and positively and develop and maintain effective working relationships? If you have an interest in Health & Safety that will be useful, but knowledge on the subject will develop while carrying out this business-critical role. You will need to be a strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft office products.
At MSV Housing we’re committed to making sure that all areas of our business operate in a safe and effective manner. This role is key in making this happen with a focus on our repairs service, known as Property Care. You will support the H&S Team, helping to embed and maintain a positive health and safety culture and assist us to demonstrate compliance.
Reporting to the Group Health & Safety Manager, you will provide administrative support relating to health and safety matters for Property Care, enabling H&S functions to be as effective and efficient as required by law so that the Group meets its statutory and regulatory Health & Safety obligations.
This is a demanding and varied role where no two days will be the same. You’ll administer and monitor the status of the Group’s risk assessments and policies. You’ll ensure that H&S training is organised and that records are up to date, including Property Care Operative H&S inductions. You'll assist the Group H&S Coordinator with the distribution and usage of the usage of lone worker safety devices to our lone workers.
You’ll support the Group H&S Business Partner with the coordination and planning of the annual Occupational Health surveillance program for Property Care staff. You’ll also attend internal H&S meetings, to produce and share accurate minutes/notes, and monitor actions.
We’re looking for a self-motivated individual that has a proactive approach to their work. You will have a keen eye for detail, good time management skills and experience of supporting a team administratively in a friendly but professional manner.
You’ll need a full driving licence and have access to a car, as you will need to be able to travel as part of the role across the northwest as required.
As an agile worker you’ll be given some flexibility on where and how you work as well as a range of great benefits including company pension scheme, life assurance, employee assistance programme and 25 days holiday year plus bank holidays. We’re committed to our colleague’s learning and development and will support you to develop the skills you need to successfully complete your role and progress in your career.
MSV are also committed to supporting you to balance work and life, including with any caring or parental responsibilities you might have, and have a range of flexible working options and wellbeing support available to all colleagues to facilitate this.
