Youth Support Worker
Mansfield
GBP13,000 to GBP14,000 per annum (term time only, 30 hours per week)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: 6 weeks referenceable experience within a relevant setting

Vision for education are seeking Youth Support Workers to join our team from in the Mansfield area.
The role
The role of Youth Support Worker will involve you working with a number of students on a one to one basis, who have been permanently or temporarily been excluded from the mainstream setting. The young people you will be supporting are disengaged from education and therefore a creative and versatile approach is essential to have in this role. In addition to this, the successful person will have a car and business insurance, as transporting students to a variety of vocational settings is required.
A Grade C in maths and English GCSE or equivalent is essential.
The school
This is an Alternative Provision that specialises in providing education to young people who are disengaged from education and are not attending a mainstream school.
Requirements
To be considered for the Youth Support worker position, you will:
Be able to provide a reference to cover a 6 week period of experience in a relevant setting
Grade C in maths and English GCSE or equivalent is essential
Previous experience of working with behaviours that challenge is highly desirable
Ability to plan and deliver engaging sessions
MUST have own vehicle and full UK driving license - business insurance will also be required
An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or the willingness to apply for one
The ability to work on initiative and proactively
The desire to work with young people with special educational needs
