Sustainability Manager - FMCG
My client a successful manufacturer is seeking a Sustainability Manager, to oversee and lead sustainability strategies, projects, and policies.
This is an opportunity to really make a difference, drive change and continuous improvement on site reporting directly to Head of Technical.
Working with the business leadership team you will drive improvements, increase adoption of the use of sustainable materials across the business to ensure business and government guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Improve consistency and integration of sustainability approaches across all sites.
Develop the agenda for carbon reduction and be the main point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders.
Experience working for a fast paced manufacturing business.
Experience in co-ordinating sustainability projects.
Understand environmental monitoring and management and be familiar with strategies to deliver change.
Update Senior Management regarding Sustainability Policy, goals, and targets in weekly/monthly meetings.
Skills and Experience
Minimum of working 5 years' experience within Food Manufacturing or Consumer Products within a senior Sustainability/Environmental role.
Building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
Delivering training courses.
Membership of IEMA.
Manage Environmental Permits and Licences across all sites.
Role
Days of work- Days- Monday to Friday (with some flexibility to meet demands of the business)
Hours of work - 8am-5pm
Salary - GBP45K - GBP50K
25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
