JOB OVERVIEW: Manufacturing Engineer x 3 sought by industry leading manufacturer of electric motors and steel based products.
LOCATION - Swindon office
SALARY - Depending on experience cGBP37K-GBP40K (to GBP42K for the perfect candidate), 25 days leave, company pension scheme, free car parking & employee benefits platform.
HOURS - Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am - 12.45pm

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Due to ongoing expansion and increasing customer demand my client wishes to recruit more experienced Manufacturing Engineers. Reporting to the Production Manager, as Manufacturing Engineer you'll have personal responsibility for the specification, design, implementation and improvement of new and existing plant, process equipment and tooling.
Your duties will revolve around eliminating process related non-conformities and improving operational productivity via innovative poke-yoke design, practical realisation of reliable plant, equipment, jigs, fixtures, and tooling. You will review and reorganise existing production processes to accept these improvements reducing in-process non-value added operator activities along with improved product quality.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
* Recognised qualification in mechanical or manufacturing engineering (BSc. HND/HNC)
*
Personally motivated by a desire to solve problems, intolerant of non-value activities and meticulous in approach to designing and improving the operational processes through the application of continuous improvement and engineering methodology.
*
Experience of designing and problem-solving equipment/ tooling in a electrical/mechanical assembly environment.
*
Practical experience of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic equipment design and build projects
*
capability of Tool room equipment and its use - advantageous
*
capability to design tooling and fixtures
*
experience in NPI
*
Root cause, PFMEA experience
*
AutoCAD and Microsoft Office literate
