Full Stack – Web Developer
1 FTE, Permanent

We have a new and exciting opportunity to join Ayrshire College in the role of Full Stack Web Developer. Supporting the Senior System Developer, you would be responsible for developing the College’s internal and external websites using back-end servers, databases, and other architecture to provide a seamless website service to meet the high expectations of students and staff. The role will work closely with the organisations ICT, Business Intelligence, and Information Systems (BIIS), Marketing Team and website hosting agencies to provide this service.
You will be qualified to Bachelor’s Degree level in computer Science or a similar subject, and be fluent in CSS (Foundation or Bootstrap), JavaScript and HTML, with an understanding of CSS pre-processors including Sass and LESS. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and a head for problem solving.
Experience of JS-based tools including Bower, Grunt and Gulp and experience in working with languages such as Java, .Net, Python, PHP or Ruby are also essential to this role
