Sales and Events Coordinator
Full time, Tuesday to Saturday
Salary: GBP25,000 plus bonus
Low-cost, live-in accommodation a possibility

The Potters Heron is a beautiful thatched 53-bed hotel situated between Winchester and Southampton. The busy team love hospitality and their enthusiasm for warm, friendly and knowledgeable service knows no bounds. They have the pleasure of hosting many weddings and other events throughout the year and their guests are at the centre of everything they do.

Role Overview

* Respond to all enquiries, requests and bookings, via the telephone, face to face or online, efficiently and with high standards of warm and friendly hospitality

* Provide effective administration for all bookings and to communicate these effectively to all departments within the Hotel.

* Confidently show potential guests around and promote all aspects of the hotel

* Become fully knowledgeable of the hotel's bedrooms, function rooms, restaurant and bar, product and rates and utilise this in every transaction

* Obtain bookings from initial enquiry and see through to completion.

Who are you?

You are already a Sales Co-ordinator or have experience of event planning and are looking for a customer-focussed, detail-orientated role. You are passionate about sales and the guest experience and want to be a part of our fantastic team.

As an experienced Sales Coordinator you will be pro-active and efficient whilst using your own initiative, a great communicator - externally as well as internally among the team. You will share your knowledge and experience, encourage others to share ideas and turn good ideas into reality.

What's Essential?

* Previous hotel experience, ideally at Co-ordinator level or similar administrator role.

* Passionate about seeing things through.

* You love detail and are highly motivated.

* You're a good timekeeper, not one for missing a deadline.

* You are someone who leads by example, supports, develops and encourages others.

* You will need to be flexible, and some evenings/Sundays may be required however the normal working week will be Tuesday to Saturday

* The venue is lucky enough to be in a beautiful area, but unfortunately that means you most likely need your own transport.

* Low-cost, live-in accommodation may be possible.
