MS221 - Contracts Supervisor
Location: Romsey
Salary: GBP33,150 - GBP35,360 per annum
Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently supporting our client in the search for a Contracts Supervisor.
To ensure that contracts under span of control are planned, mobilised, carried out efficiently and safely, demobilised and administrated in line with the agreed process.
Our client is keen to offer opportunities to Ex-Military personnel, but all applications will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Contracts Supervisor:
Based on specific job parameters, produce accurate and detailed site equipment check lists (within 3 days of job start) which ensure that the jetting teams have everything required to deliver OTIF.
To plan/schedule works and communicate with all stake holders to ensure that all involved are aware of the requirements at least 3 days prior to contract commencement.
Prior to commencing works, ensure that the Team Leaders are fully conversant with the Method Statement, the expectations of performance and any specific site requirements.
Ensure that each contract has daily targets allocated to it and that site teams report against this target on a daily basis. Escalate any large deviations to the Contracts Manager.
Ensure that the contractual terms related to the contract are adhered to and submit timely information to the client based on signed daily worksheets and any other relevant site issues to allow for the submission of accurate financial applications.
Make regular site visits to assess the situation on the ground, support jetting teams, liaise with clients and act as an envoy of the company ensuring that client expectations are effectively managed and the service provided exceeds these expectations.
To develop continuous improvement throughout the contract function through the close monitoring of team performance.
Ensuring that team members are fully equipped (vans, tools, equipment, documentation etc.) to carry out their roles smoothly and effectively.
To carry out site surveys and attend pre contract meetings as required and agreed with the Contracts Managers/Director.
Skills and Qualifications:
The role holder will need extensive practical aptitude and be able to understand the interface between water jetting practices/equipment and customer requirements.
Furthermore, a good understanding of the Customers working environment, processes and procedures are essential.
Health and Safety is of utmost importance therefore an up-to-date knowledge and ability to write risk assessments and method statements is a prerequisite coupled with the ability to explain these to the teams.
A good understanding of contractual procedures and associated commercial documentation is essential to the success of the role
Experience and working knowledge of Supervisory/leadership techniques will be required as well as the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within and outside of the company
