The Role

As General Manager you will be overseeing the daily management of the facility and staff members working at the venue to make sure all customers have the best possible experience during their stay by directing the services offered at the venue, such as activities, conferences, meetings, and events.

You will be the Ambassador for the guest journey and ensure brand values and service behaviours are delivered consistently in a professional and friendly environment. Responsible for making sure that all areas of the venue environment run smoothly and work together successfully.

It should be natural for you to give direction to the hospitality teams who are passionate and dedicated in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires a hands-on approach, and you will improve standards, have attention to detail and be commercially minded with a vision to improve profits and support marketing campaigns.

* You will need to have demonstrable experience in managing both Hotel style accommodation, and varied catering in both Restaurants and Caf??s.

* Ideally, you will have some Retail Management as the Centre has a retail outlet and equipment hire.

* You should have experience in planning and anticipating demand and logistics for a self-contained vendor and for its larger corporate activities which occur at regular intervals.

* Staff management and oversight of the venue's excellent in-house training needs to be overseen and encouraged.

* You will be a foodie and have the passion, flair, and imagination to further develop the catering offer and guest stay dining experience.

* Above all, you will be an excellent communicator, have strong leadership/management skills, and above all have passion for what you do.

This is a fast-moving business and one where you can impose your own style and personality, and make a real difference to both the commercial aspects of the business and the consumer experience
