Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant
Leader Education is working in partnership with a School based in Runcorn.
We are recruiting for an experienced Learning Support Assistant / Behaviour Support Worker to work in a specialist SEMH school, providing educational support to students.
You will have previous experience of working with students with SEMH - social, emotional and mental health issues (previously known as BESD, SEBD & EBD).
You will have excellent behaviour management skills as well as patience, empathy and understanding.
THE JOB:
you will be required to provide either one to one support or small group support to learners with SEMH - Social Emotional and Mental Health issues
to comply with individual learning plans
to take direction from the class teacher
YOU:
You must be an experienced classroom support assistant with a good level of experience of working with students with SEMH
be patient and resilient
be creative
make learning fun
excellent communication skills
have a therapeutic and holistic approach
Team Teach trained would be advantageous, although training can be given.
Location: Runcorn
Start Date: ASAP or September
Contract: Long Term

Salary: GBP18,018.00-GBP20,865.00 per year
