Digital Development Manager
Contract
Reading/Hybrid way of working
As a Digital Development Manager, you will work in one of twelve multi-disciplined, self-managing agile teams responsible for delivering awesome solutions across web, tablet, mobile, and smartphone apps, and will be measured by the quality of those solutions. Each team has dedicated resource to deliver its business outcomes as set by the Product Owner, who has a contribution to make to the overall digital channel target.
You will lead and share research, stay up to date with technological trends and collaborate with other digital experts to drive innovation and feed ideas into our online roadmap. You will be highly collaborative, insanely proud of the work you and your agile team produce and always mindful of delivering wonderful digital experiences to our customers.
Your passion for online, obsession with how web development is evolving, and ability to speak the language of both business stakeholders and technical teams will help us exceed our targets and expectations, and advance Three as a digital leader. This role is integral to a broader team responsible for all aspects of the online channel, from insight and analytics to user experience. You will play a vital part in acquiring, retaining - and most of all delighting - customers.
Key Responsibilities
Owning development change within the online channel
Responsible for the quality of change, including testing activities
Be a single point of contact for third party Development teams
Responsible for documenting functional requirements
Responsible for working in cross functional teams to shape and drive solutions
Responsible for delivering and transitioning projects into the Operations function, including setting up new processes for in-life management where appropriate
Ensuring all online assets remain operationally stable and active post development
Responsible for technical innovation, developing digital expertise and sharing that knowledge; collaborating with other online experts
Experience
Experience of working in a fast-moving development environment
A good knowledge of digital skills and be able to exhibit digital expertise
A good knowledge of web architecture
Must have the ability to see the bigger picture and a good understanding of business drivers
A fierce determination to always put the customer first
Commercial experience with the ability to balance business priorities and development approach
An ability to work within the wider businesses processes and ability to define new ways of working where appropriate
Good communications skills and the ability to distil complex technical issues into simple concepts
Proven stakeholder management skills
An ability to work with the creative side of a business and an appreciation of front-end web design principles
Nice to Have
Experience in an agile environment with Continuous Deployment
Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and debugging tools
Up to date with emerging trends and ways of enabling digital transformation in non-digital businesses
Knowledge of how an online e-commerce and service channel functions end to end
Expertise in regulatory matters such as privacy and accessibility
