A fantastic opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join growing business who offer a niche technology driven service within education. The role is to join their central IT function and manage the business technology in a varied role handling all IT escalations and work closely with the development team. Working in fresh modern offices, with a friendly team in a positive working environment. Key Responsibilities will include:
* The IT Support Engineer will manage the company's Internet and information technologies assets. Along with co-ordinating the ticketing and documentation process for all support incidents within strict SLA's
* Handle diagnosis and troubleshooting to discover and solve hardware & software faults, analysing call log to discover trending matters and issues
* Work with the IT Services Manager to effectively manage all of the company's system applications and software
* As the IT Support Engineer you will be responsible for the backup of systems and all data
* Work with all teams across the business to identify areas of suggested improvement and work alongside software developers to facilitate continuous improvement.
* As the IT Support Engineer you will effectively communicate new software updates & releases and provide the relevant training to internal staff
* Run training and support sessions for new starters across the business. Assessing the technical needs of current staff and run monthly drop-in sessions for internal users to enhance skills & knowledge
* Maintenance of all information technology equipment including assisting with IT equipment sourcing and budgeting
* Working with the wider operations team to ensure that new starters have the required equipment and software access
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience working within an IT Support/IT Engineer/IT Technician or similar role is essential
* Computer Science or IT degree or equivalent
* A background working for a Managed Service Provider would be ideal
* Proven track record of keeping up to date with technical developments and advancements
* Good problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Critical thinking
* Patience
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Good interpersonal skills
* Excellent software knowledge including Microsoft products and Exchange
The Package:
* GBP35,000 per annum
