Floating Support Worker
Leicestershire
GBP20,315 per annum (GBP10.53 per hour)
I am looking for someone to join a brand new floating support service for people with mental health and drug and alcohol related issues in Leicestershire. The service will operate across Charnwood, Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough, Oadby & Wigston, Blaby, Hinckley & Bosworth and North West Leicestershire.
In this role you will:
* Work with vulnerable people to prevent them from losing their home
* Support people in setting up new homes after a hospital discharge or homelessness
* Promote recovery
* Manage dual diagnosis issues
For this great job you must have:
* Experience and knowledge of mental health needs, housing and benefit related issues
* An awareness of drug and alcohol related needs, supporting agencies and evidence based reduction/recovery interventions
* A solid understanding of local resources
* The ability to work effectively on your own
* Have experience in networking and relationship building
* A desire to help people work to their strengths and maximise their futures.
* A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Flexibility - you will need to work 8am-3.30pm, 9am-4.30pm or 10am-5pm Monday to Friday with the flexibility to work evenings on request and weekends as required
