A client is looking to recruit a cheerful Kitchen Assistant with a can do attitude to join their team based at their Coffee House based in London. The coffee shop can be extremely busy therefore, you must be able to think ahead, be passionate, have experience within a similar role and be ready to work in a busy kitchen. You will need to be able to work quickly, calmly, and efficiently during busy periods
Your main duties will include organising and running the preparation area using fresh produce, baking of bread / Rolls and some cakes whilst working alongside experienced kitchen staff and developing your kitchen skills. You will be assisting the Kitchen Manager in the smooth daily running of the kitchen and ensuring delivery of high quality goods, have consistency and presentation on all menu items by following recipes and standards, and placing orders with suppliers when needed
You will be paid every 2 weeks
To be considered as a candidate
*You will be working 5 / 7 so weekends and bank holidays
*Have a background within a similar position and have a can do attitude
*Be able to work within a team and take direction
*You will have the opportunity for progression to a Chef role after training completed
*Share of cash and card machine tips (starting from second month of employment)
*Work as a team player with a can do attitude
