Based: Cheltenham Hybrid Working
Ultra Precision Control Systems (PCS) are looking for a Software Engineer to enhance the software engineering capabilities of its Engineering department.
Working in a multi-disciplinary project team to develop, deliver and document software, you will be working across the entire development life cycle, from planning and requirements capture and analysis to final product approval.
Key Responsibilities:
* From Systems requirements, design and implement software for a number of different platforms;
* Develop code to satisfy high level software requirements and architectures
* Generate test scenarios and automated test scripts to verify code design.
* Undertake reviews of code, requirements and test scripts
* Provide post production support and maintenance as required
Security Clearance:
Due to the nature of the product, candidates must meet the minimum requirements of SC security clearance.
Expectations, Background and Understanding:
* Have a working knowledge of a range of software languages such as C, C++, C#,
* VB, assembler, xml would be a nice-to-have
* Previous experience generating embedded C software for 8, 16 or 32-bit microcontrollers
* Experienced in software to hardware integration and problem solving
* Has previously developed software in accordance with DO-178
