An opportunity has arisen within the Adoption East Midlands agency for a Business Support Administrator. The post will support the recruitment of adopters to provide permanent homes for children within the four local authority regions of Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire County, Derby City and Derbyshire County.

Work patterns can be agreed with the manager and are currently flexible to suit your needs.

The team is busy, and the work fast paced and will draw heavily on your organisational skills and your proactive approach to your work. You will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with an interest in the best outcomes for children and their families. You will be a good team player with excellent listening and communication skills, well developed experience of using common Microsoft Office packages (e. Word and Outlook), an eye for detail and the resilience to handle confidential and sometimes distressing information. You will also be comfortable taking notes at complex and confidential meetings if needed.

In return, you will be joining an organisation with excellent employee terms and conditions, opportunities for career development and the chance to make a real difference to the children and families of Nottingham/Nottinghamshire and Derby/Derbyshire. To support this, Nottinghamshire County Council is committed to the professional development of their employees and is happy to support anyone without NVQ L3 in Business Administration to undertake a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship as part of this role.

Whilst the nominal base for this post is Loxley House, Nottingham - Nottinghamshire County Council are committed to hybrid working which allows some opportunities to work from home and as the work of this team covers the Nottingham/Nottinghamshire and Derby/Derbyshire regions the actual work base can be flexible if required. Team meetings and most communications are currently undertaken virtually through Microsoft Teams, although processes are in place to engage staff in a more hybrid way of working which will see some return to office bases.
