Our client with its Head office in Peterborough is looking for a Product Specialist to support the sales function of the business on a fulltime permanent basis. Our client is in a niche industry supplying heavy machinery to different sectors.
Job Role:-
Responsible for proactively supporting the sales team to achieve sales targets and to maximise margins.
• Identify new markets and product solutions.
• Maximise our clients technical offering to meet identified customer specifications
• Responsible for all technical & specification related items for all customer orders
• Responsibility for liaison between sales department and workshop for all specification and technical issues.
• Manage demonstration team to ensure we carry out demonstrations of appropriate equipment to customers in the best possible sales environment
• Attend exhibitions and events and network with customers to generate leads
• Work with the Sales Support Department to ensure bids and proposals meet technical specifications and all sales opportunities are dealt with to their fullest potential
• Assist in the management of key accounts and major projects
• Provide market data including information on future requirements, market potential, competitor activities, etc.
• Attend all sales meetings and play an active role in developing product and services solutions for customers
• Build and maintain relationships with 3rd party suppliers including chassis manufacturers and suppliers of ancillary equipment
• Carry out product training with all sales and sales support departments on an ongoing basis
To be considered for this role you MUST have a high level understanding of Capital Vehicle Machinery.
