Electronic Design Engineer

Copello are pleased to have partnered with an Industrial Marine manufacturer based in Leicester, in the recruitment of an Electronics Design Engineer with a focus on safety critical sensor production.

The role will revolve around electronical design of sensor systems for marine vessels in location critical positioning situations.

You will be responsible for:

- Redesigning (schematics and PCB) electronic assemblies

- Analysing electronic designs which are suffering from component shortages

- Collaborating with the existing hardware development team

- Ensuring that revised designs meet the required quality and regulatory requirements

- Producing BOM's based on new schematics and designs

Ideal candidates will have:

- Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification

- Strong understanding and experience within Electronics

- Experience using Altium Designer

- Understanding of an ability to produce detailed BOM's

- Ability to select appropriate alternative electronic devices based on the review of an existing design.

- Good communication skills and ability to work in partnership with other departments in time critical situations

The company offers a competitive salary of between GBP45,000 and GBP55,000 (DOE). The position is permanent, full time (37.5 hrs per week) and will, once up to speed, offer flexible working with up to two days per week from home
